Nursery Admissions 2026 –27: Guidance for Parents
As per government guidelines, children born between 1st July 2022 and 31st December 2023 are eligible for Nursery admission for the academic year 2026–27.
We would like to gently guide parents of children born in October, November, and December 2023. At this tender age, every child grows and develops at their own pace. Some children may still be strengthening important readiness skills such as communication, self-care habits (toilet training), and fine and gross motor coordination. This is a natural and normal part of early childhood development.
For a few children, beginning school very early may require additional time to comfortably adjust to classroom routines, social interactions, and separation from parents. Our priority is always the emotional well-being, confidence, and happiness of each child.
Please be assured that we do not deny admission to any child based on birth month alone. During the admission interaction, if it is felt that a child would benefit from a little more time to grow and mature, parents may be gently counselled to consider admission in the next academic year, purely in the best interest of the child.
Children born in October, November, and December 2023 will remain eligible for Nursery admission next year as well, when they will have completed 3 years of age—an age at which most children begin school with greater confidence, independence, and ease.
Our aim is to ensure that every child’s first experience of school is positive, joyful, and stress-free, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
We appreciate your trust, understanding, and cooperation as we work together in the best interest of your child.
