Educational Visit to Air Force Station – A Day of Inspiration and Learning
A group of 100 students from Grades IX and X of SPM English Medium School, Yamunanagar, Nigdi had the privilege of visiting the Air Force Station on 28th November 2025 to witness the spectacular Air Display Show. The visit proved to be a highly enriching and motivational experience for both students and teachers.
The event highlighted the exceptional skill, discipline, and commitment of the Indian Air Force. Students were captivated by a series of remarkable demonstrations, including the Akashganga Paradrop, Aeromodelling, Microlite Display, Chetak Flypast, SU-30 LL Display, the breathtaking performance by the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team, and an impressive Static Display. Each segment offered a rare, close-up glimpse into the precision, professionalism, and courage that define our nation’s defence forces.
Throughout the visit, the Air Force Station staff extended warm hospitality and ensured seamless coordination. Students also had the valuable opportunity to interact with officers, deepening their understanding of aviation technology, national defence preparedness, and the dedicated life of IAF personnel.
This educational visit not only broadened students’ knowledge but also instilled a profound sense of pride, respect, and admiration for the Indian Air Force. It was truly an unforgettable learning experience—one that will remain etched in their memories for years to come.
World AIDS Day Awareness Program – 2025

Venue: ICMR–NITVAR, Pune

Five students from SPM English Medium School, accompanied by Mrs. Jyoti More, participated in an enriching awareness program organised by ICMR–NITVAR on the occasion of World AIDS Day 2025.
The event commenced with an inspirational address by Dr. Sheela Godbole, Director, ICMR–NITVAR, who encouraged students to become Ambassadors of Change. She emphasised the importance of staying away from distractions such as excessive social media, peer pressure, alcohol, and drugs, and explained how substance use increases the risk of HIV transmission.
A dynamic and interactive session by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Patil helped students understand the power of a positive mindset. Through engaging examples, he motivated them to remain focused, work hard, set high goals, and strengthen communication with their parents.
Further activities were conducted by Dr. Pallavi Shindhaye and Dr. Amrita Rao, including a quiz and a slogan-writing competition, which received enthusiastic participation from students.
Overall, the program helped students gain valuable insights into their role in preventing substance abuse and HIV/AIDS. The words of wisdom shared by the experts will surely guide them towards making responsible choices and building a safe, healthy, and bright future.

Educational Visit – SPM English Medium School

Educational Visit – SPM English Medium School Nigdi Grade IX & X
Venue: Shivshrusthi, Ambegaon, Pune
Students of Grade IX and X visited Shivshrusthi, an impressive historical theme park dedicated to the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The visit offered an immersive journey into Maratha history through life-size fort replicas, 3D visual experiences, and interactive museum exhibits.
Learners gained valuable insights into Shivaji Maharaj’s life, administration, strategic battles, and naval power. They were particularly fascinated by:
DurgVaibhav – Featuring 3D models of various forts portraying stories of valor and conquest
Shastra Dalan – A remarkable gallery displaying swords, armor, and weapons used by the Maratha warriors
Coronation Display– Showcasing the grandeur of Shivaji Maharaj’s Rajyabhishek
Naval Exhibits – Demonstrating the military genius and sea defense strategies of the Maratha Empire
The experience deepened students’ understanding of Shivaji Maharaj’s leadership qualities, administrative brilliance, and vision of Swarajya.
After seeking blessings at the beautifully recreated Bhawani Mata Smarak inspired by the Pratapgad Temple, students began their return journey, inspired and committed to uphold the ideals of courage, valour, and sovereignty.
This meaningful and educational exposure celebrated the spirit and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, whose contributions remain immortal in Indian history.

Raman Project – STEM Workshop Inspires Young Researchers
SPM English Medium School, Nigdi successfully hosted the Raman Project – Research Methodology STEM Workshop on 9–10 January 2026 for students of Std. VII, VIII, and IX. Organized by the Research & Development Cell of Shikshana Prasaraka Mandali, Pune, with support from the Bhide/TDM Laboratory, the workshop aimed to foster scientific temper, research aptitude, and hands-on learning in alignment with NEP 2020.
30 enthusiastic students (15 English Medium, 15 Marathi Medium) participated in a two-day programme designed to bridge theory with practical experiments in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Day 1: Exploring Science in Action
The workshop began with an introduction to research methodology, hypothesis formation, and experimental design. Students engaged in hands-on experiments such as:
Study of Image Formation and Optical Properties – exploring light and lenses
Adulteration Tests for Food – analyzing food samples for contaminants
Cytological Analysis of Plant Leaves – examining plant cellular structures
Homework-based Inquiry Projects – fostering independent research and scientific documentation
Students learned laboratory safety, accurate data collection, and teamwork, gaining valuable practical experience.
Day 2: Innovation and Analysis
The second day focused on data interpretation, analysis, and application. Students also participated in innovation-driven activities:
Idea Incubation: Invention, Innovation, Entrepreneurship – promoting creativity and problem-solving
Lessons from Nature: Listen and Follow Your Inner Guide – learning design thinking from nature
Food Mile: Assessment of Food’s Environmental Footprint – understanding sustainability and environmental impact
Guided by eminent scientists, students gained insights into real-world research practices and ethics, completing the research cycle from experimentation to conclusion.

The workshop organized by Navneet Top-Tech was conducted on 10 January 2026 at Tip Top Hotel, Wakad, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
📌Participants:
The workshop was attended by Hon. Principal Mrs. Pallavi Shanbhag along with Mr. Hemant Borade, Mrs. Anjali Bhatia, Mrs. Shobha Joshi, Mrs. Meenal Bokil, Mrs. Chitra Thapa, Mrs. Meenakshi Gurung, Mrs. Namrata Borse, Mrs. Ashwini Mahajan, Mrs. Pranita Dighe and Mrs. Pratibha Fulari.
📌Objective:
The objective of the workshop was to introduce and provide training on the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) based on the curriculum from Pre-Primary to Grade 10, aligned with the New Education Policy (NEP).
📌Highlights of the Workshop:
Navneet Top-Tech team explained the structure and features of the HPC system.
📌Mrs. Gauri Gurav conducted a detailed session on:
▶️Child psychology and mental developmental stages
▶️Student–teacher relationships
▶️Classroom behavior and appropriate teacher responses
▶️Activity-based teaching methodologies
📌Various interactive games and activities were conducted to demonstrate how experiential learning can be implemented.
📌AI-based curriculum tools developed by Navneet were showcased through video demonstrations.
📌Outcome:
Initially, the purpose of the workshop was unclear, but by the end, the participants gained valuable knowledge regarding effective teaching strategies, holistic assessment, and AI-driven learning support.
📌Conclusion:
The workshop was informative and insightful. The learning gained will certainly help teachers in ensuring holistic development and effective academic growth of students.
The drawing competition jointly organized by Grahak Peth and Parle-G
The drawing competition jointly organized by Grahak Peth and Parle-G was held, and nine students from our school won prizes from Group A, B, and C.
The prize distribution ceremony was held today evening at Bhave Highschool, Pune.
The School Committee President, Hon. Bhandari Sir, and Principal Hon. Pallavi Shanbhag Madam appreciated and congratulated the students.
The students received guidance from drawing teachers Swati Deshpande and Madhuri Saswade.
