Sushmita Kaneri
Started Gullakaari Foundation an NGO which works with tribal and rural artisans to revive the dying art forms of India and to make the art and the artisan self-sustainable. Indian ethnic & generational art forms are dying due to a lack of awareness, high cost of production, and lack of innovation in generational art. This directly impacts the artisans practicing these art forms for generations. There is a severe need to innovate this space of traditional art by keeping ethnicity intact. Gullakaari was launched by Dr. Kiran Bedi in Delhi. Today, Gullakaari works with 1020 Artisans across India to skill train them, spread awareness about the traditional art forms and increases the artisan’s income. Sushmita also runs a for-profit organization make technology accessible to NGOs and Social enterprises.
Education: B.Tech in Information Technology (Software Engineer)
Experience: 3.5 years in Social Entrepreneurship
Achievements:
- Received Dr. Sarojini Naidu International Award for the work we are doing with the artisans recently at Delhi, India by International Women’s Film Forum &, International Chamber of Media and Entertainment in association
- Delivered a talk to represent Gullakaari’s work in Startup 20x an initiative of G20. Startup20 is the first of its kind official engagement group initiated under the Indian presidency of the G20 2023.

Atharva Deshmukh
Currently working as a Research and Policy Associate at the Institute for Governance & Sustainable Development (IGSD), where driving subnational non-CO₂ climate action in India by partnering with state governments and translating scientific research on methane and other short-lived climate pollutants into evidence-based policy solutions. Also working as a Legislative Aide to Shri Sanjeev Arora during his tenure as a Cabinet Minister in the Punjab Government, supporting policy research and legislative work across key ministerial portfolios. I am a former LAMP (Legislative Assistants to Members of Parliament) Fellow (2024–25).
